The National ITS Australia Award was last week presented to Transport Certification Australia & Department of Transport and Main Roads, QLD for the National Telematics Framework and the application of the IAP in the Toowoomba to Port of Brisbane corridor.
 
ITS Australia also recognised Traffic Engineer and ITS technology researcher and developer, Peter Lowrie with the Dr Max Lay Award for Lifetime Achievement  and also recognised the legacy of Arthur Sims in developing the Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System (SCATS).
 
The Young Professional Encouragement Prize was awarded to Ben Eastgate from Transmax for his hard work and dedication as a young professional in the ITS Industry. READ PRESS RELEASE >>

ITS WORLD CONGRESS - Opportunities for Involvement 
 

In the preparation of the 19th World Congress on ITS Vienna 2012 (and also for Tokyo2013), ITS Asia Pacific and the ITS World Congress International Program Committee are seeking ITS professionals to act as paper reviewers.  This is an opportunity to get engaged in ITS organisations globally and immerse yourselves in the latest developments in ITS from around the world.  Paper reviewers are sought across a broad range of ITS areas.  If you are interested please complete the attached form and forward it Susan - susan.harris@its-australia.com.au.  Reviewers are currently being selected so please forward your details through by December 2nd.

Further to the further requests, the World Congress Organising Committee have requested your input in relation to:

·         Proposed Special Interest Sessions for the World Congress. 

·         Proposed Executive Sessions for the World Congress.
