V2V requirement in U.S. would mean a major windfall for small tech firm 

The U.S. DOT’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has recently proposed new rules and research touting the benefits of vehicle-to-vehicle technology, and Australia-based Cohda Wireless is among the companies that provide the technology that will be standard on all U.S. vehicles. The technology gauges the speed and movement of surrounding cars and alerts drivers if a collision is probable, and it is being tested in the U.S. in large-scale trials.
