ITS Australia’s involvement in committees and projects:
Australian Traffic & Traveller Information Forum (ATTIF)
The Australian Traffic & Traveller Information Forum (ATTIF) is focused on the development of advanced traffic and traveller information services in Australia, as a sub committee of ITS Australia.
The Intelligent Transport CRC will deliver new transport solutions that leverage emerging connected vehicle and infrastructure technologies. The Commonwealth Government’s Cooperative Research Centre program is the ideal vehicle to bring together the required resources from industry, governments and research. The central feature of CRCs is that they conduct industry-led research, which is focused on defined and implementable outputs.

Austroads Cooperative Steering Committee
Austroads has identifed the potential for C-ITS to deliver a myriad of benefits to road users and road operators and, as such, the Austroads Network Taskforce (as a body representing road authorities) has been working in collaboration with industry since 2006 towards being ready to adopt and deploy CITS in Australia based on international developments. ITS Australia is a member of the Austroads Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) Steering Committee and provides secretariat support to the Industry Reference Group.
ITS Research Roundtable
The ITS Research Roundtable has been established by ITS Australia to bring together researchers, industry and government organisations involved in the research, development and testing of intelligent transport systems. ITS Australia is seeking to expand the membership and activity of this group to provide a forum to progress research, development and adoption of ITS initiatives for the ultimate benefit of all Australians.
