As CEO of Infrastructure Victoria Michel Masson is responsible for delivering Victoria’s first ever 30-year infrastructure strategy.
Michel started his career at Deloitte before joining the Bollore Group where he held various senior finance positions in the transport and logistics division in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. In 2005 he joined Keolis as head of Finance and Operations for the International Division where he was responsible for leading public transport operations in seven countries and held various non-executive director positions in UK and German rail franchises.
Michel was appointed CEO of Yarra Trams in 2009 and helped lead the development of Keolis Downer throughout Australia, before joining the Calibre group in 2014 to create and lead its Transport Infrastructure business.
Michel is a graduate from the EDHEC Business School in France, and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He also completed the Advanced Management Program from the Harvard Business School.
In 2017, Michel was awarded an Honourary Doctorate in Technology from Swinburne University in recognition of his contribution to shaping infrastructure in Victoria.
Michel became an Australian citizen in 2014.
Mike joined Toyota Australia in 1985 as a Graduate Engineer and over the next 30 years held senior management positions within the Purchasing, Product Development, Production Control and Quality divisions.
In 2011 Mike was appointed Senior Vice President Purchasing, Toyota Motor Asia Pacific in Thailand. On returning to Australia in 2013, Mike was appointed to Toyota Australia’s Board as Executive Director of Corporate Services.
In 2018 he was appointed Vice President Product and Corporate Operations in Toyota Australia’s new Senior Executive team.
Mike is a Director of Hydrogen Mobility Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
He was appointed as a Director of Toyota Community Foundation Australia Pty Ltd in 2017.
As CTO at Intelematics, Sam Hallawell leads the business in technology, systems, cyber security and data, DevOps and the Cloud transformation program. Sam has achieved business success in consulting, management, architecture, security, design and implementation of complex business and IT architectures on a global level across multiple industries. He is passionate about driving digital transformation outcomes for businesses and about technology, with 9x AWS Certifications including specialties in Advanced Networking, Big Data and Security.
The speaker program will be followed by a networking session. Drinks and canapés served.
